Reviews:
'Debutant Margot De Ley tells the story in rhyme, in smooth and short sentences. Ruth De Jaeger provides colorful prints that continue to surprise. One is Mr. Verzuren, the plaintive neighbor who doesn't like animals except when they've ended up nice and well-seasoned in a stew. However, when Mouna takes the time to get to know him better, she discovers that he paints people to avoid being alone. Thus Mouna ends up finding much more than she was looking for. 'It is quite a journey full of adventures and fine encounters, full of surprising twists and recognizable events that seem to be taken from life. Throughout the smooth text you taste and feel the author's love of language. With simple sentences, sometimes in rhyme, sometimes not, she creates a story that keeps you reading until the last page. [...] The colorful prints match this perfectly. De Jaeger draws and paints playful prints in a brash and casual style that appear childlike. But the better viewer notices a skillful style that exudes personality.'
